It functions the same as the traditional skimmers. It is not installed on any part of your pool, but floats instead. All you have to do is leave it floating unto your pool and then it gathers unwanted debris such as leaves, papers, candy wrappers, bugs and more. Floating it on the pool side is advisable. Just don't have it float anywhere at the center of your pool otherwise it may destruct those who are swimming around. Since it is solar power operated, once the robot feels itself that it needs to be charged, it moves around the pool and looks for a spot where it can detect sunlight. Once recharged, this pool skimmer is ready to work back again.
